What we Believe

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our sole authority in all matters of faith and practice.

That we should live lives according to the teachings of the Bible.

We exclusively use the King James Version of the Bible.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16

God

We believe in the Trinity, the unity of the Godhead.

There are three persons: The FATHER, The SON, and The HOLY SPIRIT, and these three are one.

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7

Mankind

We believe all people inherit a sin nature, and are sinners by nature and by choice.

That sin separates us from God and condemns us to an eternal Hell.

“For the wages of sin is death..” Romans 3:23a

Eternal State

We believe in a literal Heaven, for all those who are saved. And a literal Hell, for all those who are unsaved.

“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” Matthew 25:46

Salvation

We believe in salvation by grace through faith. Salvation is a free gift, received by faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ, it cannot be earned through our good works, and cannot be lost.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Eternal Security

We believe that once a person is saved, they are saved forever.

If a believer sins, God may discipline them, but He will never take away the free gift of eternal life.

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 10:28

Baptism

We believe in baptism by immersion after salvation.

There is no saving power in baptism, it is a public display of a believer’s inward faith.

“And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.” Acts 8:37-38

Spiritual Gifts

We believe that spiritual gifts are given to believers to edify the church and win the lost.

Tongues were intelligible languages given as a gift to the early church to preach the gospel.

“Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 12:4

“Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.” Acts 2:6

Future Events

We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ to rapture all saved people from the earth.

We believe Christ will rule and reign for a thousand years on earth before establishing a New Heaven and New Earth.
